Privacy Policy — Path To North

Path To North (“we”, “the app”) is a Canadian citizenship test study app. We minimize data and never sell it.

What we collect

• Analytics and diagnostics (optional). When enabled in Privacy & Data settings, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics receive coarse app-interaction events such as “assessment completed”, screens viewed, and purchase-funnel steps, plus crash logs and diagnostics. Firebase may infer a coarse region from network information for its service analytics. These signals help us understand feature use, monitor app health, and fix problems.
• Purchase entitlements. When you buy Full Prep or a theme, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. We receive only whether an entitlement is active — never your receipt, card number, or payment details.
• Learning progress (on-device only). Your study history, mastery, notes, bookmarks, and study plan are stored on your device. They are not sent to our servers.

What we do not collect

We never collect: government IDs; your test invitation or appointment details; payment card numbers; full store receipts; the text of your answers or notes; your email (no account is required); or your precise device location. The app does not request location permissions and does not use location as an app feature.

Third parties

• Apple App Store / Google Play — process purchases under their own privacy policies.
• RevenueCat — manages purchase entitlements using anonymous app user IDs.
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics — receive the optional analytics, crash, diagnostics, coarse-region, and app-installation signals described above. We do not use these services for advertising or personalized ads.

Your choices

• Turn analytics off at any time in Settings. The app stays fully usable.
• Manage your purchase data through your Apple ID / Google account.
• On-device learning data persists until you uninstall the app or reset progress.

Children

Path To North is rated 4+ and is intended for citizenship test applicants (typically adults). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Data retention

On-device learning data is kept until uninstall or reset. Aggregated analytics follow Firebase’s default retention settings.

Changes

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the date above.
